My name is Elisa Generali,
I am an expert event producer and designer, venue manager, hospitality expert, dedicated entrepreneur and connoisseur of Italy.
My aha moment occurred when one of my suppliers offered to pay me to help her to set up her venue. That was when I realised that my long-standing expertise as an event planner could be put to good use by sharing my know-how and making clients more professional, satisfied and wealthy. After all, I had somewhat been a consultant for many years while on the job at that point, although off the record. The time had come to start my own firm and put my own name on it.
Elisa Generali & Co. is the result of a decade of hard work in the event industry, some major consultancy work, a lot of experience running my own businesses and hunger for more.
LEAPS OF FAITH ARE WHERE I THRIVE
I HAVE A THING
I have a thing for CREATIVITY.
I was born in 1980 which means I got to be a teenager in the nineties, that I spent writing my own music while singing and playing the guitar in a band. Creativity has followed me since, but changed its shape and form throughout the years. I now have a thing for design and words.
I have a thing for LONDON and all-things-British Isles.
I love the British Isles so much that throughout my life I lived I moved to London two times, to Scotland twice, wrote my dissertation on Irish history and ended up married an Englishman. I now live in the Borough of Richmond, London, with him and our son.
I have a thing for DOING MY OWN THING.
I have co-created a few businesses in the fields of event planning, hôtellerie, hospitality and language services.
I have a thing for MANAGING and LEADERSHIP.
Even before running my own businesses I had an affinity with management and I have worked as a manager and project manager in high-end interior design and corporate procurement, in both the UK and Italy.
I have a thing for MOVING AROUND.
Holidays were never enough for me, so I lived in quite a few places in the past including my home town Fano, Bologna and Rome in Italy, in addition to London (three times), Glasgow (twice), Göteborg, Valencia and Albufeira.
I have a thing for LE MARCHE, the Italian region I come from.
Funnily enough, amongst the lesser known Italian regions, Le Marche has been recently becoming a thing. I have spent years promoting it through my event planning business Merry Le Marche and Le Marche Magazine.
